The Aurora Award for Energy Efficiency is awarded by Progress Energy Corporation to the Florida builder who best incorporates energy-efficient design and products into the homes they build. Rusaw Homes is a 3-time winner of this important award, including two Grand Aurora Award wins.

"The AURORA Awards are the Grammy’s of the home building profession," said Kay Green, 2003 AURORA Award Chair and an Orlando, FL designer. "The AURORA symbolizes tremendous achievement, honor and distinction among building industry professionals."

AURORA Awards are presented annually to builders, architects, interior designers, landscape architects and other home building professionals in a 12-state region: Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas and Virginia.

The AURORA Awards program is affiliated with the Florida Home Builders Association and the Southeast Building Conference – one of two regional trade shows recognized by, and affiliated with, the National Association of Home Builders. AURORA Award winners are announced each year in conjunction with the Southeast Building Conference.
